it collects nothing.

no cookie is placed in your browser. no script comes from anywhere else. there is no form and no account. the server log keeps neither your address nor anything that points to you: only the date, the page asked for, and the answer code.

pages read are counted. people are not, and this site has no way of doing so.

each of these four sentences is checked at every release.

yocable

no account, and no internet.

the application works entirely offline. its words ship with it, and your progress lives in your phone. no account is needed to use it.

when the phone has a network, a copy is kept online, even without an account, under an identifier drawn at random that does not say who you are. it holds your progress (your languages, your words, their tier and your answers, the words you added, your points, your streak and your trophies), your activity (the words done each day, the time spent per language, the date you arrived and the date of your last visit) and your settings.

if you create an account, your mail address is added and, if you go through google, your name and your picture. the server rule lets you alone read all of this, and refuses everything else.

to keep robots out, a google service checks that each request really comes from the application. to do so, it reads technical information about your device.

nothing is shared with a third party. there is no audience measurement and no tracker.

no measuring tool among the 61 parts of the application, and no call to a measuring service while it runs.

where it is kept

on servers in the united states.

what yocable keeps online is stored in a google database, installed in the united states.

this data therefore leaves europe, and that is the only place it goes.

it travels encrypted. for that transfer, google applies to its customers the standard protection clauses of the european union.

for how long

until you erase it.

the online copy stays as long as your account, or your identifier without an account, exists. it goes the day you erase your data from the application.

a backup copy may survive seven days after the deletion, then it disappears on its own.

nothing is kept beyond that, and no copy is made anywhere else.

why

one reason only, and it is you.

the application works the same way for everyone: with or without an account, your progress is filed under your identifier. if you create an account, it keeps this identifier, and everything that goes with it.

with an account, this copy serves to find your progress again when you change phone.

nothing else is done with them. nothing is sold, and nothing is rented.

your rights

what you can ask for.

you can ask to see what is stored about you.

you can have it corrected, have it erased, receive a copy of it, and ask that nothing more be done with it.

write to the address at the bottom of this page. the answer comes within one month, and it costs nothing.

if the answer does not suit you, you can turn to the data protection authority of your country.

younger people

sixteen years old for an account.

the application can be used at any age, without an account.

creating an account requires being sixteen. an account reported as belonging to someone younger is erased.

yolo

your life stays with you.

yolo is not open yet. during its testing, only its creator uses it.

what you confide in it lives in your phone. your voice is listened to there, and it never leaves it.

to answer you, your message travels encrypted to anthropic, in the united states, which makes yolo think. anthropic does not use it to learn.

the copy on your drive only serves to give you back your memory. it is not shared, not sold, and not used for advertising. the key that opens it stays in your phone.

what you erase also disappears from the next copy. you can withdraw yolo's access from your google account, at any time.
